Bronx Parent Coordinator Summit 2020
Friday, March 6th was the Bronx Parent Coordinator Summit event at Boricua college. We were honored to have been a part of such a special event. We met so many wonderful organizations that offered such services to the community. Among those were nutritional experts Green Beetz, school health program at Montefiore University Hospital and an archery program for kids.
We saw great presentations, including a drumming circle that got everyone up and dancing. Music always has a way of getting everyone excited and united.
In addition to having a great time, we had the privilege to meet so many people focused on bettering the lives of students and their families. Ultimately, that is the goal of all of us that were there. Enhancing the lives of children in their educational experience that will have a ripple effect throughout their lives.
Music in Every Classroom
With Color Me Mozartâ„¢, that is exactly what we want to bring to the lives of students and families alike. Music has the ability to benefit a child’s cognitive, social and emotional skills. Music has even been linked to benefits in higher test scores in academic studies.
These are all in addition to the obvious joy and magic that music brings to all of our lives already.Offering children music education, we believe, is an essential subject that should never be sacrificed, regardless of a school’s budget. We met with many parent coordinators who felt that Color Me Mozartâ„¢ could be a good fit to their school.
Special Thanks
We want to give a special thanks to everyone who organized the event, making us feel extremely welcome and part of the family. We look forward to meeting again at the next event in May.
